A Structured Foundation in Prophetic Ministry, Discernment, Character and Responsible Spiritual Leadership
Prophetic ministry is widely practised across Ghana and the wider African church, and rarely taught in a structured, accountable way. This class is being prepared as the foundational entry point of the College's prophetic pathway.
It combines theology, spiritual formation, practical ministry, ethics, critical thinking and pastoral responsibility, so that participants grow in understanding and in character at the same rate.
The emphasis throughout is responsible ministry: careful scriptural grounding, honest language about uncertainty, respect for the dignity of the people being ministered to, and accountability to the church.
Draft learning outcomes
Completion never confers the title Prophet. Titles are not awarded by attending a class.
Foundation of the Prophetic does not lead automatically to ordination, licensing, commissioning or recognition as a prophet. Those are separate processes with their own governance.
No spiritual experience, gift, manifestation or outcome is promised to any participant.
These remain separate educational products. Completing one does not enrol, admit or entitle a participant to another; each has its own admissions process.

Module 1
What prophetic ministry is, where it sits in Scripture, and how it functions within a community rather than above it.
Module 2
Formation of the minister. The person carries the ministry, and character is the load-bearing structure.
Gift must never be used to excuse destructive character.
Module 3
Careful categories for spiritual experience, and the discipline of not over-claiming.
Not every thought, dream or feeling is divine communication. Learning to say 'I do not know' is part of the training.
Module 4
Interpretive method with built-in caution and documentation.
Avoid universal claims such as 'every appearance of X always means Y'. Context governs meaning.
Module 5
Reading symbol in its biblical, cultural and personal setting.
Symbol does not equal automatic meaning. Interpretation requires context.
Module 6
A disciplined process for testing impressions and living with responsible uncertainty.
Students learn language that matches their actual confidence: 'I believe…', 'I sense…', 'This requires further discernment…' rather than claiming certainty that does not exist.
Module 7
Introduced responsibly, so that ministers can tell pastoral discernment apart from psychological assumption.
The objective is not to explain away faith. The objective is careful ministry that does not mistake a psychological dynamic for a divine message.
Module 8
Firm boundaries, taught as non-negotiable.
Module 9
What to do when the subject matter can seriously harm someone.
Safety, pastoral responsibility, appropriate referral, verification, humility and confidentiality come before any public declaration. Reckless public pronouncement is treated as misconduct, not boldness.
Module 10
Studied historically, anthropologically, comparatively and theologically — not polemically.
Contested supernatural claims are not presented as established scientific fact, in either direction.
Module 11
Conduct in every setting where ministry is now seen and recorded.
Module 12
Sustainability: the habits and structures that keep a ministry safe over decades.
Controlled practice — prepared, not activated

Ethics is not one module at the end. Consent, confidentiality, dignity, refusal of manipulation and fear-based practice, financial integrity and sexual boundaries are taught, assessed and required from the first week. High-risk subject matter is handled through referral and pastoral response, never through public declaration.
No individual prophetic ministry to a minor without a parent or guardian present and consenting. No private messaging. No recording.
Do not require disclosure. Avoid re-enactment or interrogation of traumatic material. Refer to qualified trauma-informed support.
No predictions about the deceased, no claims of messages from the dead, no timelines for recovery. Presence and pastoral care first.
Never substitute prophetic ministry for clinical care, and never tell a person to stop treatment. Refer immediately to qualified professionals and, where there is risk to life, to emergency services.
No diagnosis, no prognosis, no instruction to discontinue medication or treatment. No claims of healing on the College's behalf.
No payment for prophecy, no seed-for-breakthrough demands, no investment or financial predictions, no ministry conditioned on giving.
Training emphasises referral to qualified professionals wherever that is the right response.
