The curriculum framework behind every PLC programme.

One academic structure runs from academic area to graduation. Admissions recruits into it, the Learning Management System teaches through it, and MIS Web records progress against it.

One academic chain

Every teaching decision hangs on the same chain, so no part of the College carries a different version of a programme.

Learning outcomes

Outcomes describe what a learner should reasonably be able to do after successful study, at five levels.

Know
Recall the terms, texts, structures and practices central to the subject.
Understand
Explain what they mean and why they matter in a ministry setting.
Analyse
Compare positions, weigh evidence and identify what a situation actually requires.
Apply
Use the material in a real congregational or organisational task.
Demonstrate
Show competence through assessed work a lecturer can evaluate.

How outcomes are written

  • An outcome states what a learner can do after study, in language a lecturer can assess.
  • Module outcomes map upward to at least one programme outcome.
  • No outcome promises status, influence, church growth or spiritual power.
  • Claims about spiritual experience are taught as biblical, theological and pastoral study — never as established scientific fact.

Programme codes

A two- or three-letter academic-area code, a level indicator and a sequence number — for example a leadership programme in the Christian Leadership area. Codes are issued once by the Registrar and never reused.
